Former Waldorf teachers (pictured above), living and working at the Fellowship Community during the Waldorf 100 celebration in 2019
Great news! A former teacher from the Denver Waldorf School in Colorado has generously put forward a new $20,000 Matching Challenge Grant in support of the many Waldorf teachers living in retirement at the Fellowship Community in Spring Valley, NY.
All donations to this campaign between now and October 1st will automatically be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $20,000!
Now's your chance to double your impact by raising an additional $40,000 to help those affected by the fire at Pine Lodge!
The ruined remains of Pine Lodge at the Fellowship Community after a fire earlier this Summer.
The Fellowship Community has a long history and deep connection with Waldorf Education. The Fellowship was founded in Spring Valley in 1966, based on the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, and located next door to the Green Meadow Waldorf School and the Threefold Educational Foundation.
Because of the close philosophical and spiritual connection between Waldorf Education and the Fellowship, over the last 53 years hundreds of Waldorf teachershave chosen to live out their retirement at the Fellowship Community!
We are asking the entire Waldorf community - current and former teachers, parents, and alumni, to consider helping with a donation to this matching challenge grant to support the Fellowship Community.
Contributions of any amount are welcome, and will make a huge impact!
Thank you for ensuring that those who have provided Waldorf Education to generations of students have a new, safe and comfortable home at the Fellowship Community in their most vulnerable years.
We're 79% there! With your help, we've raised over $237,000 to help the residents who were displaced due the fire at Pine Lodge!
